Yellow 12, also known as Pigment Yellow 12, is a diarylide yellow pigment offering high color strength and a bright, slightly greenish-yellow shade. It is extensively used in printing inks, plastics, and coatings, particularly in four-color process printing. The pigment disperses well and provides excellent transparency and tinting efficiency. While cost-effective and visually strong, Yellow 12 has moderate lightfastness and should be evaluated for migration resistance in plasticized systems. It remains one of the most widely used organic yellow pigments globally.
